My first trip to photograph Oregon took me to the iconic Punchbowl Falls, a breathtaking gem nestled in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge. Capturing the ethereal beauty of the falls, I employed an old technique where I would blow condensation onto the lens, enhancing the foggy atmosphere that surrounds this enchanting location. While I no longer use this method, the image it produced remains a testament to the unique, almost dreamlike quality of the scene. The delicate interplay of light and water at Punchbowl Falls continues to inspire my work, reminding me of the extraordinary landscapes that Oregon has to offer.
