In the early days of my photography career, I set out to capture the breathtaking sight of Bowling Ball Beach in Mendocino. Armed with my camera and a questionable sense of direction, I hiked down to the shore, only to discover that the tide had other plans for me. As the waves danced around these naturally rounded stones, I slipped—camera in hand, struggling to maintain my balance! After a brief moment of panic and some indignant splashes, I managed to find my footing and capture the perfect shot. It turns out that nature has a sense of humor too; the rocks stayed put, but I wasn’t so sure about me!
