Just after capturing this image at dusk, I was in the zone, trying to frame the perfect shot. The light was just right, and I finally felt like I’d nailed it. Then, out of nowhere, an elderly gentleman appeared. With a furrowed brow and a voice that could rival a megaphone, he bellowed, "Hey! You can't stand there!"

Confused, I looked around as if he might be addressing someone else. But no, he was glaring directly at me, as if I were a rogue tree blocking his view of the sunrise. I sheepishly took a step back, as if my very presence stood in the way of some cosmic harmony only he could perceive.

"Sorry!" I called out, wondering if I had accidentally set up my tripod in an ancient sacred spot. He continued his tirade, waving his arms like he was conducting a symphony of disgruntlement. I couldn’t help but chuckle internally. I mean, who knew standing in the right place could be such a high-stakes business?

After he finally retreated, I found myself laughing at the absurdity of it all. At least I’d gotten my shot—just hopefully not on his personal “Do Not Stand Here” list.
