At the base of Condercone, I captured this image just before sunrise. A handful of dedicated adventurers rise early to hike to the summit, eager to ski down as the first light of dawn broke through. This photograph is one of only two frames that caught the ephemeral glow of sunrise; the clouds rolled in just as quickly as they had parted. If you look closely on the left side, you'll notice a distinct track—it's not from a skier, but rather a dog barreling down behind its owner.
