When the hostel I was planning on staying at had their "no vacancy" sign on, I ended up throwing my sleeping bag down on the beach not too far from where this image was made. As I lied in the tall grass, the wind blew and whistled through the reeds. Large clouds moved over the full moon that illuminated the entire beach with an unearthly glow. The fog rolled in and it began to rain light enough to be refreshing but not wet me down in my sleeping bag. I watched the spot light of this large lighthouse spin it's rounds as the deep echoing of it's fog horn echoed in the distance. It was so amazing that I couldn't sleep, nor did I want to. I sat up and literally took in the scene until the glow of the sun began to form on the horizon behind me. I forced myself to go to sleep for an hour or two and was lucky enough to awake to this beautiful display of mother nature. What I would give to relive those 24 hours...
