After spending an amazingly wet summer weekend just outside of Yosemite National Park, my brother and I headed to Yosemite valley to see if we could thaw ourselves out. After spending a few days doing some simple valley hikes and climbing some of the local rocks I woke up to this ghostly morning light. This sunrise was one of the strangest I had ever witnessed in the Valley. As we drove to this scene I knew that I was either going to get beautiful light or it was going to be a dud all together. Lucky for me I sat on the bank of this pond and literally shot non-stop from dark until the sun was overhead.
